I have been very particular about being treated like a "KING" when I am a customer. It's quite natural as I treat my customers and respect them for their business, always!
But I am not fortunate enough to get a good customer experience, most of the times! Just today, I got the bad taste from 2 of my interactions. One, when I went to A2B food joint with my management program classmates and Two, when I tried reaching Apollo Hospitals for fixing my health check-up appointment.
At A2B (Adyar Ananda Bhavan) we ordered 17 plates of Mini Tiffin, and after first 6 plates noticed that Sambar Vadas weren't there and instead they were placing Pongal twice to compensate for it. I got wild and had to yell at the service guys at the counter for not informing me this! Finally we had to settle for additional Masala Dosas instead of Vadas! Inventory-Dmand mismatch :)
I have been trying to get an appointment over a weekend for executive health check @ Apollo Clinic. Last week I left my phone number and contact details with that agent to call me back and confirm the schedule. But I never got back the reply. I decided to write to them and sent an email to customerservice email id. IT BOUNCED BACK! And today I tried calling their Malleshwaram clinic (080-23317521/22/23) multiple times, and no one picked up the phone. APOLLO HOSPITALS have a brand name (as I perceive) and I had better expectations while I tried reaching them. I decided to follow-up through their Bannerghatta road hospital. Atleast this time, I got a prompt call-back from the lady informing that there might be a technical problem for the call not being answered.
I wonder what would happen if I had to take their service on an emergency! OMG!
It might take ages before I get a KING-like treatment in India, when I am a customer. Till then customer is someone who bothers with too much expectations while paying very little! Good luck folks...
